Set within a beautifully preserved Grade I listed terrace that is over 230 years old, the apartment has been thoughtfully refurbished throughout to offer modern comfort while retaining its historic character.
The space
The Pickwick House occupies the ground and lower ground floors of a classic Georgian townhouse, giving you the feel of a private home with your own front‑door entrance down a short flight of steps. Both levels enjoy impressively high Georgian ceilings (well over 3 metres / around 12ft) that make the rooms feel bright and airy. At the back, the kitchen opens onto a small patio that catches the afternoon sun, while the front patio is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee in the light. Inside, a new, fully equipped kitchen and polished wood floors flow into the comfortable lounge, and the upper level has fresh, soft carpeting underfoot.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
The main bedroom is a generous, tranquil space with a romantic four‑poster super‑king bed, wardrobe and full‑length mirror, ideal for longer stays or special occasions. A brand‑new upstairs bathroom offers a walk‑in shower and contemporary fittings, and there is a separate toilet on the lower floor for added convenience. The second bedroom has three full‑size single beds, making it perfect for families, friends or children. In the lounge, a high‑quality new double sofa bed can be made up on request, with linen provided according to your booking; an additional charge of £50 per person per night applies for the 6th and 7th guests.
